I am not sure of the politics behind this award but this surely is not awarded based off of quality of work, I have worked on this site for over a year and a half under the direction, a term I would use loosely, of Ron and nothing I have seen portrayed in this video is an accurate description of what I seen. The work done under his supervision, is a direct reason why, Starbelt Electric, and more specifically Gaylor Electric, were not awarded the next phase of this project, something I was told that has never happened before as the client always proceeded from one phase to the next with the same subcontractors. Not to mention there were countless times instead of doing a job they were contracted to do they instead passed it off to their trade partner, saying that it was not their job. The amount of rework that was done is mind blowing, but even more so is the fact that after being given a second chance to right the wrong it still was not right. I have years in the electrical trade, and I have never seen a job ran so poorly by its leaders, they were hardly ever present on the job site, and if they were it was just to bark at the men actually doing the work. Instead of training people to do something the right way, they just threw more inexperienced workers at a task that they had no business being apart of. I can say from firsthand knowledge that the first phase is not done, and they already have other contractors on site fixing things that never functioned right in the first place because of a poor installation. I can say thanks to this job I learned how to do a lot of things I did not know how to do when I arrived, however I also learned how not to do things. You can decide for yourself which I learned from Ron. On top of all of this Ron had a terrible attitude towards the people that worked under him, treating each person as if they were replaceable no matter how much time they had put into this project, there was never a second thought to these people having lives and families. Honestly could say I was shocked to see in this video he could actually ask someone to do something without talking down to them, or making a smart ass remark.

Paul: What a wonderful testimony about the Edison program. I became principal of Rockville HS in 2005, so I believe you graduated before I got there. However, I have long been an advocate of the Edison High School of Technology and now have the privilege of working with the principal as the director of high schools.

What an amazing event! Be there in 2016!
